Trash Gear Co was born from a desire to change the way that outdoor gear is made. After years of working in the outdoor industry the founder, Peter, was frustrated by the fact that much of the gear available was made in a far away place, under questionable labor conditions, using non-recycled plastics. Inspired by movements like Precious Plastic, Peter saw an opportunity to tackle the plastic waste problem in the USA by giving the waste a second life. With humble beginnings - a blender, panini press, simple molds and some recycled materials from the neighbors recycle bin, Trash Gear Co set out on a mission to bring new life to trash.
